Retail Sales Assistant
We’re looking for a personable and enthusiastic addition to the retail team in our Wembley store; someone who enjoys and has experience within a retail sales role.
‘Growell’ is a well-established retail company specialising in selling hobby hydroponics and horticultural growing equipment directly to end users. The customer is at the heart of everything we do and we pride ourselves on giving the best service possible.
The ideal candidate will:
· Enjoy talking to and forming relationships with a range of different people.
· Have strong communication, organisation & interpersonal skills.
· Take satisfaction in helping customers with their enquiries.
· Take satisfaction in resolving problems for departmental Managers.
· Have a resilient, persistent, and positive approach to overcoming hurdles.
· Use initiative to think of different ways of achieving objectives.
· Be enthusiastic to learn about and understand the hydroponics industry.
· Have experience using basic IT software and the ability to quickly pick up in-house software services.
· Enjoy working within a team and achieving daily targets.
· Enjoy multitasking.
The role will include:
· Meeting and greeting store customers.
· Serving customers face to face, by telephone & by email.
· Processing digital payments.
· Cash handling.
· Picking and packing customer orders.
· Negotiating discount levels with customers.
· Up selling and cross selling products and brands.
· Demonstrating products to customers.
· Maintaining showroom displays and showcasing products.
· Cleaning and tidying.
· Carrying out warehouse duties.
· Receiving goods in from suppliers.
· Working as part of a larger team.
· Carrying out tasks as set by line managers.
