Plagron Batmix - 50 Litres

Plagron Batmix is a mix of the finest, carefully selected types of peat. It contains various types of fibre and perlite which results in a lightness and oxygen level you have come to expect only of Plagron quality substrates. The abundant presence of unique Plagron worm castings ensures vigorous plant growth and increased water retention. The main nutrient in Batmix is bat manure (Bat Guano). Bat manure is naturally rich in phosphorus and potassium, guaranteeing abundant flowering. Only under closely controlled conditions can Bat Guano be processed into the top quality product Batmix. Batmix produces the highest yields when used with Plagron Alga Grow, Alga Bloom and the additives from Plagron. Available in 25L and 50L bags.

The advantages of Batmix

  • Complete fertilisation for at least six weeks.
  • Extra phosphorus and potassium from added bat manure.
  • Enhances smell and taste.
  • This product is suitable for organic farming (CU certified).

How to use Plagron Batmix

Plagron Batmix is a ready to use soilless growing medium for potting and re-potting all flowering plants. Rinse with water before use in order to wash out the immediately absorbable nutrients. Extra nutrition is needed after approximately 6 weeks, depending on the condition of the plant.

FAQ's

When should I start adding nutrients, when I'm cultivaing with Batmix?

Batmix is fertilised for about six weeks. When you need to start giving nutrients depends on conditions such as the amount of light per square meter, the type of plant and other factors. It takes about two weeks for organic nutrients to become available to the plant. If you start fertilising from the fourth week, the nutrients will be available in week six, right at the point were the pre-fertilisation of the Batmix runs out. Check the grow schedule to find out if you need Alga Grow or Alga Bloom and in what dosage.

Should I adjust the pH and EC values if I grow with Batmix?

No, combined with our 100% NATURAL Grow Style you don't have to regulate the pH and EC value.

You reccomended rinsing Batmix before using it. Why do I have to do this and how do I do this?

Batmix is maximally fertilised. For young plants that are not yet accustomed to high EC-values, it may be difficult when they are suddenly planted into a maximum fertilised soil. Therefore we recommend to flush the Batmix before putting the plant into the Batmix. This is done by filling the pot (eg 10 liters) with Batmix and rinsing it with 5 to 10 liters of water. After this, the plant can be planted directly. The fertilisers that are absorbed directly will be flushed out with the water. Within the following days, the EC value in Batmix will rise again and gradually the non absorbable fertilisers will be released.

Can I mix Batmix with full ground when I'm growing outdoors?

Yes, we advise you to mix Batmix with full ground when your soil outside is very clayey. If your soil is very airy we would recommend you use Bat Guano.

Can I add Supermix to Plagron Allmix, Royalmix or Batmix?

Yes, you can use Supermix to upgrade your peat substrates. Unused, these substrates are prefertilised. This means you don't need to use Supermix for your first grow on any of these substrates.
