How is the noise level of this item compared to the more expensive version, and to your budget blue air pump? Thanks.
Both the Budget Air Infusion Pumps, & the Budget High Output Air Infusion Pumps are rated at less than 40dB at 1 metre away, the Professional High Output Air Infusion Pumps are rated at 40dB & 45 dB respectively. The pumps move a large volume of air, which will make some noise in the nutrient reservoir. In our experience, budget air infusion pumps are quietest, followed by budget high output, followed by professional high output. You have to remember though that the volume of air moved by these pumps varies greatly, and the noise produced is relative to the volume of air moved. Some customers that are concerned about noise tend to use several small air pumps rather than 1 large pump.
